The
Felicite Suite (downstairs)
Named for Felicite Chailloux, the first owner of the property
after Bernard Marigny subdivided his plantation. The Felicite
Suite is located on the first story of the free-standing
guesthouse. It has its own private entrance.
One room serves as the bedroom, while the second room features
a dining area and a private bathroom. The suite features
the following amenities.
- Four entrances – two that open onto
a courtyard and two that open onto a landscaped backyard;
- Bricked floors and area rugs;
- A queen-sized bed;
- An antique armoire, writing desk
and chair;
- Color television featuring expanded
basic cable;
- Dining area featuring refrigerator,
microwave and coffee make, as well as table and chairsr;
- Eating utensils – plates, coffee
cups, silverware, glasses – located in a cupboard built
into the original fireplace;
- Complimentary bottled water, orange
juice, coffee, tea, soda pop and snack foods;
- Large shower area;
- Private area for the toilet;
- Air conditioning and heating;
- Use of courtyard and backyard; and
- Telephone for unlimited local and
toll-free calls.
Room rates for the Felicite Suite start
at $75 per night, excluding seasonal or special events such
as New Year’s Eve, Sugar Bowl, Mardi Gras, Jazz Fest, Fourth
of July/Essence, Southern Decadence, or other events, holidays
or major conferences. A four-night minimum may apply to
certain holidays and special events.
