The
Marie Kitt Suite (upstairs)
Named after the property's second owner,
the Marie Kitt Suite is located on the second story of the
free-standing guesthouse. It has its own private entrance.
Like the suite below, one room serves
as the bedroom, while the second room features a dining
area and a private bathroom. But there are many differences.
The Marie Kitt suite features the following amenities.
- Two entrances – both open onto a
private courtyard;
- Cypress floors and area rugs;
- A queen-sized brass bed;
- An antique armoire, night stands
and light fixtures;
- Color television featuring expanded
basic cable;
- Telephone for unlimited local and
toll-free calls;
- Dining area featuring refrigerator,
microwave and coffee maker, as well table and chairs;
- Eating utensils – plates, coffee
cups, silverware, glasses – located in an antique hutch;
- Complimentary bottled water, orange
juice, coffee, tea, soda pop and snack foods;
- Large shower area;
- Air conditioning and heating;
- Private area for the toilet; and
- Use of courtyard and backyard.
Room
rates for the Marie Kitt Suite usually start at $85 per
night, excluding seasonal or special events such as New
Year’s Eve, Sugar Bowl, Mardi Gras, Jazz Fest, Fourth of
July/Essence, Southern Decadence, or other events, holidays
or major conferences. A four-night minimum may apply to
certain holidays and special events.
